      8     - delta x is the width of the rectangles used
      9     - delta x = (b - a) / n
     10 - see FIG3 is the fundamental rule of calculus 
     11     - assuming f(x) is continuous between a, b then F(x) is also continuous between a, b
     12     - basically this says that the integral can move to the derivative and vise versa
